Keep your tea leaves away from

Storage

Storage of tea is fairly simple. If you store your tea leaves in airtight containers and in a dark, cool place, free from moisture, the tea leaves are unlikely to spoil before they are consumed. As a basic rule of thumb, the less oxidized and lighter tea (white, green and yellows) degrade faster than the more oxidised ones. Also, although it is best to store tea in bulk, it is important to remember that greater the surface area exposed to air, the faster the tea will spoil, so be careful of storing a batch with lots of broken leaves.
